We often find ourselves telling us to never let the negativity or doubt of others hold us back in life; but in reality and in life, it's actually our own selves and our own minds that we must overcome. I am still in utter denial that this happened last week. Just 6 weeks ago I was ready to throw in the towel and give up on the dream of running a half marathon. There was no one telling me I couldn't do it. In fact, everyone I knew was telling me I could do it; but it was me, my own mind, telling me I couldn't. There comes a time in our lives when we must believe in a power greater than ourselves. And in losing ourselves in faith and in losing ourselves in the love of others, there is nothing in this world that is unattainable. If there's one thing I learned about myself and about life throughout this journey, it is that if you love others and let God take care of the rest, you will experience a life filled with fulfillment, love, adventure, excitement, and happiness. Here's to the thousands of strangers in Philly last week, my family and friends, and to God for making this dream a reality. Forever blessed. Forever grateful.
